| Is this the best 2-disc Smiths compilation available? Yes, but the fact that REEL AROUND THE FOUNTAIN is not included is reason enough to avoid purchasing this package. The 2-disc THE BEST OF THE SMITHS has been much-maligned - and rightfully so - but at least it contains this essential song, not to mention one or two others missing from this collection.

| I am a die hard TC fan and have seen them live multiple times, this album is NOT GOOD AT ALL, period. It builds off what they have learned and created in the last ten years but THEN WHAT???? Nothing. Nothing new, more dub rapping, sittar riffs and... what else? It is a lazy effort at best, as if they were partying for the last two years and then realized its time to make a new album. | I first heard "Trouble Is A Friend" on an episode of "Grey's Anatomy" and I went and bought the album the next day. Since then, the album has been playing constantly in my car. Every single song is great, which is really a unique thing these days. It makes wonderful background music if you just want to chill out and relax in a good mood.

| Just when I thought they couldn't get any better....This album is crazy good. The Lyrics are thoughtful and smart. The sound is fuller and more rich then Weekend in the City. I totally give this album a thumbs up. I listened to this album on a drive out to Vegas in the dark of night, and really got a chance to hear it's utter beauty....check it out. |

| Kasey Chambers is one of my favorite alternative artists.
Her raspy little girl voice is between Concrete Blond and Joan Osbourne. With a country flavor. This particualar CD with Shane Nicholson's - is just a little too country for my tastes. It's my least favorite of her catalogue to date. I'd recommend one her earlier efforts to anyone wanting to check out her sound ie: the Captain or Barricades & Brickwalls. |
