| I have to admit, ever since I first saw Celtic Woman on PBS back in 2005 I was smitten. I now own all of their DVD's (except the greatest journey, I'm still debating that one since it's mostly a greatest hits collection). I'm also not a very big fan of Holiday music, since in the last 20 years or so the market has been over-saturated with so-so music by so-so artists, IMHO. Then Celtic Woman's "A Christmas Celebration" came out. I feel almost reborn!

| Call me a chump, but with the exception of Storytelling, I put everything that B&S has put out (all the E.P. releases too) on the highest ebb of all musical performances, with an emphasis on their earlier work from the 90's. I think a real turning point for this band's sound happened with the release of Dear Catastrophe Waitress. Isobel Campbell, the female accompanying vocalist and part time writer for the band has her last appearance in a few songs on that album. She leaves later, forever changing the sound of the band. ... The love of music this band give to us, the listeners, cant be paid for by money. This is music that embrases all the good things in life. | This is a solid Rod Stewart collection but not "definitive." After all, it's missing some of Rod's best songs (not to mention biggest hits) including "Broken Arrow" "All for Love," "Having a Party," "(I know) I'm losing you," and many others. Part of the problem is that Rod has had a lot of hits, but still if you're going to say "definitive" you should have ALL the big hits, not just most of them. |

| For those who love Coldplay's latest offering, this is a great way to round your Viva experience out with the new EP, especially if you got the original album electronically. While it's not the most red-carpet edition imaginable, it is stylish and quite affordable. For those wondering whether to buy the EP, do so - it's a nearly seamless addition to the inspiration of Viva, with the sole exception of a couple dozen seconds of silly rapping overlaying "Lost+", unnecessary since it's the same version of the song on the album. | Kilburn is a good show. But as previously noted it is a little sloppy, and Pete needs to be much further up in the mix. I don't mind sloppy, hey it's rock and roll. But the boys sound a little lethargic. (Especially when compared to the 69 show.) Pete is jumping around and dancing and windmilling like a madman, but the musical energy to back up the antics is just not there for good portions of the show. Keith is fine, but he does a lot of mugging for the camera, and I think his playing at the 69 show is far superior to Kilburn. I'm sure ... Read More: |

| Ever since I read a synopsis of her life and music career in the newspaper a year ago, I was intrigued. I went to see her in a small local theater, and since then I was hooked. She mixes African and Spanish rythms with jazz and Latin beats to create an amazing sound. Her voice is captivating and penetrating. She portrays herself through her music. |

| Recently, I heard Connie Talbot singing on TV. I hadn't heard of her before. I was so taken by her singing that I checked Amazon right away to see what CDs she had made.
