| Okay, couple things I need to get out of the way since this is a review of the vinyl version of this album. First, to enjoy this vinyl record fully, you NEED good equipment to play it on. I'm talking at or near audiophile-level hi-fi equipment, with the turntable being nothing less in build quality than something like a Technics SL-1200.
That being said, it would have been real good if Metallica had re-mixed and re-mastered this album for re-issue on vinyl. The big problem I have ... Read More: |

| Houses of The Holy is just...one of those albums. One of those albums that everyone seems to like and I just cannot figure out why. It is pretty much split between good and startlingly bad, and for a Led Zeppelin album this is about as bad as it gets in the early career. But with that said, the album still has a nice selection of good songs. | Twilight Of The Thunder God was a very nice album, I find this new offering from Amon to be very enjoyable. It has some amazing songs and my favorites being Varyags of Miklagaard, Twilight Of The Thunder God, Guardians Of Asgaard and Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags while not as perfect as their previous album With Oden On Our Side. | I usually don't get into the whole "growling" type of metal (death metal? I'm not sure). I can never understand the lyrics, and the growling usually interferes with the music.
5FDP has the growling, but it works really well. You can hear the lyrics clearly, and it definitely doesn't interfere with the actual music. The vocalist has a nice range, switching between growling and singing nicely. The music is a pure "punch" to the face. Oh my god. I haven't been this excited about a metal album in a long time. | This CD isn't bad, but it really isn't good. I love the first song, Trucker Anthem, and Uncle Kracker started the CD off right, followed by a couple great Kid Rock Verses. After that it is all down hill. Songs 2-4 are good, and I for some reason really like what I learned out on the road, but other than those songs, I don't like any other ones except WSCR with Snoop Dogg. |

| Slippery When Wet some think its the greatest album of all time but personally i think its just one of those albums you can just pass on as nothing. Whats so special about, "Let It Rock", oooh so they used synth and guitar and just played one note and than bon jovi's singing comes in who cares. The reason i give it two stars is because its okay i guess i mean livin on a prayer and wanted dead or alive is okay but besides that its too glammy. not great not good |

| I think this was one of my first rock tapes, along with Aerosmith's "Permanent Vacation" and Great White's "Once Bitten Twice Shy". I loved this album top to bottom, for all the great songs it has, still today I have most of it on my IPOD and enjoy very much listening to them: Armageddon, Animal, Pour Some Sugar On Me are outstanding rock songs and the whole album is worthwile playing straight up.
