| Great debut with what accidentally appears to be a nice British take on Jonathan Richman. The slightly off-kilter vocals only add to the charm and wit of the songs, which ring honest with heart and freshness.

| I never, met Bonnie, but I knew her former boyfriend, Dick Waterman, who managed the old timers, like Son House, Fred McDowell, Skip James, as well, as back then Buddy Guy, Jr. Wells, and Luther Allison.

| Actually, about 3 1/2 stars.
But I attended a gazillion live performances in 2007 (and a few more in 2008)- from Pittsburgh to Hershey, Baltimore, Atlantic City, Rhode Island, Ohio, Chicago, Interlochen- and the recent, post-2001 material was well-done live, leaving its studio counterparts sounding relatively muddy and muted. So I would suggest that one try to secure some of these live recordings, widely accessible via the Web. |

| Bruce and the gang sound like they had a whale of a time making this album. It's great fun to listen to in the car.
My one criticism would be that Bruce tends to use a phony southern accent when he sings. Oh, and "Shenendoah," as others have pointed out, is the low point. Otherwise--kick up your heels! |

| The title of this review probably sounds like I don't like Ryan Adams -- actually I do. I love albumns like "Gold" and "Cold Roses," songs like Dear John, Come Pick Me Up, etc. But I was always very aware that he was often (hopefully consciously) sounding eriely like the Dead, Graham Parsons, or even Van Morrison (Answering Bell on Gold). The nice thing about Easy Tiger is it seems like Ryan Adams has dropped the mimic routine and is making his own sound. | I do not listen to Rage Against the Machine. Not because they aren't a good band, but because I rarely listen to the type of intense rock they play. Tom Morello's solo outings are another story. The Fabled City is a really good album with songwriting and singing that I appreciate. Good effort Tom! I hope The Nightwatchman continues with productions like this. |
