| I get chills when Downs re-interprets classic Mexican styles. Her voice is a wonder and I'll still be on board for her next disc. A lot of the songs here are inspired by something other than old Mother Mexico. that's fine and she shouldn't be put in a box but I'm not as interested in her take on New Orleans or rock music. Maybe you'll like it more than I did.

| Amos Lee is and amazing artist, and gives one of the most passionate live performance of any artist I know. I have seen him 3 times and can hardly with until he is in Los Angeles again! |

| I wish more info, or a rating, had been given this music CD. I threw it in the garbage after receiving it due to the vulgar language. I would not listen to it in the presence of my two young sons, nor do I enjoy hearing that kind of language myself. |

| This is a great collection of songs that are guaranteed to make kids smile and to entertain them. Very good car trip music.
After a recent trip to Disneyworld, anything Disney has an immediate "plus mark" in the interested column for my daughter. |

| To her credit, Jolie Holland is growing as an artist, and making good use of the admiration she's received from industry greats. That being said, I don't think this is her best effort. I'd put it at #3 in her catalog, behind the extraordinary Catalpa and the delicious Springtime Can Kill You, but ahead of the less certain Escondida. But this is also the closest she's come to a "rock" album, which might make it more accessible for some. And the production is excellent.

| there is nothing that compares to seeing/hearing pheobe snow in concert, but this cd comes close. she is backed by an incredibly talented band and her best, flawless self soars through every note. her commentary to the audience is hilarious (i heard similar riffs years ago at her concerts). this is a gem for any fan of hers and a great gift for the pheobe snow novice as well. good job, pheobe! (now won't you come to seattle?) |

| I really enjoy listening to this CD. The radio doesn't play nearly enough Tracy Chapmans songs. I have only ever heard 2 played on the radio and I listen to a wide variety of music. I'd say that I definitely got my moneys worth. And as always the delivery time was excellent. |

| Too Long in the Wasteland, indeed. James McMurtry's scathing collection of character sketches blisters as an indictment of the last eight years, commenting on greed ("God Bless America"), the downtrodden and left behind ("Fireline Road) and the chimp in chief himself ("Cheney's Toy'). It's likely the most political album you'll hear this year outside of punk rock (New Wave, The Bright Lights of America), and digs deeply into McMurtry's Lou Reed by way of Texas singing style.
