| Bridge over Troubled Water is just one of those albums that just feels so damn complete. One after another, this album boasts quite some variety, especiallly considering that this album is folk based. Folk based just has that natural, organic sound, and variety in that is just great. | It was with "Freewheelin'", his second album, that Bob Dylan established himself as a great songwriter. Featured are all-time classics like "Blowin' In The Wind", "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall" and "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright". But some lesser known gems, such as "Bob Dylan's Dream", are also included. "Masters Of War" is at an anti-war song with Dylan at his most venomous and "Girl From The North Country" is one of his most beautiful romantic ballads.

| With the exception of the last song on the disc (Oh, Had I a Golden Thread), these songs were recorded live as Eva Cassidy performed and sang them -- no overdubs or substitutions -- and they sound great. Her voice is wonderful, bright, crisp and clear, and she has a way of making each song her own. The recording also includes her introductions to the songs. If you have her other CDs then you owe it to yourself to get this live set. |

| I have been searching for this one for the past 5 yrs. Bought the Origninal Cassette in 1982, tape is wearing out. Normally I don't like county western music, but this one sounds different. When I decorate my 9 ft. Christmas Tree, I have it playing all the time. I'm getting enough for each of my children and 5 grand kids. |

| I had heard some of Alison's music on the radio but hadn't sought out her specifically. One night I watched her and the band perform on our local PBS station. The next day I ordered this CD and was delighted to find it was the same performance I had seen the night before. A new favorite. |

| I suppose after the success of John Wesley Harding Bob Dylan thought going back to Nashville and recording another album was a good idea. I'm wondering if all these years later, if he still feels that way. I know the album was a commercial success, that "Lay Lady Lay" was a top ten hit as a forty-five, but, for me at least, there is something missing here. This is a happy record, recorded by a happy man. At least that's they way it seems to me and that's not the way I like to think of Dylan best. I see him as, if not a leader of his generation, ...
