| Some Amazon Reviewers say that the original hit versions are found elsewhere. Single versions, album versions, what do I know? I see that Donovan wrote every single song on this collection, and although he may have been looking back to "Atlantis", he was looking forward to "Zeppelin". Also to Bon Jovi? (Could "Blaze Of Glory" be a tribute to Mr. DL?). To Mark Bolan and T-Rex? That one goes without saying.

| I honestly had big hopes for this cd, and it doesn't deliver...sad but true. The songs are very pop-country, and doesn't stick in your mind after hearing them. There are some good songs, but all in all the cd is slow and a little anonymous. Why can't we get some real country from these guys??? |

| I actually acquired the second Sugarland album first, and loved it so much I went for the third and first. I am not a particular Country fan, but I love Jennifer Nettles' voice and the sound of the band. Even my husband, who definitely isn't a Country fan, has had to admit that "They have a really good sound." His favorite is "Stand back Up". I love them all. Listen to the samples, and if they appeal to you, then you'll enjoy the album. |

| I recently saw Arlo Guthrie in concert and when he did Alice's Restaurant, I came away slightly disappointed and determined to find the original. This one is it! Arlo himself even rushes through the song he's been stuck singing all these years. My ears remember the pauses and things that made this such a delight to begin with! The ONLY ONE to own! |

| Awesome Todd Snider, I have been listening to Todd since about day one, and have seen him in concert a few times, i love his music, but on occasion have been disappointed a little in his published efforts, not this on though, I must have listened to it 10 times in a row before I moved on. It is great, it is also one of those albums that benifits from listening to the entire album, straight through, in the order it was intended.
