| I bought this CD as a replacement for the old vinyl recording I got years ago. This is one of my favorite Christmas albums. If you like John Rutter and his choral Christmas works, then you will want to own this CD. There are newer recordings since this was originally recorded (and I have them, too), but this was one of the first ones that I heard and it has sentimental value. And, once again, Amazon's price is the best. |

The selections are all beautifully played, as you might expect from Andre Rieu and the orchestra. I thought it was interesting how far they went with the theme, even to the point of turning

This DVD shows what Venezuelans are capable of if only they are allowed to develop their potential. Besides this, the Bonn Concert is just fabulous. | I take my hat off to Schiff's 'Hammerklavier' Sonata, which takes off from the first bar with real passion -- a rare thing, in my experience, for this chilly pianist. He far outdoes Brendel and Gilels in imagination and breadth of vision throughout this massive work. This is a wonderful CD to use to help you learn the pieces. These piano selections are not the "World's Favorites" for nothing - they are memorable and enjoyable for young and old alike.
