| This was another album we always listened to when I was a child. It's kind of Mormon Tabernacleish sounding, with all the religious songs of the holidays right there. Not a secular one in the batch. But for that lush Sixties Christmas sound, with loads of strings and smoothness (can you say Muzak) it cannot be beat. I like to turn it up loud and sing along--then put on the Billboard Christmas favorites or Jimmy Buffet's Christmas as an antidote right afterward. |

| I can only add a little story to the other glowing reviews. I haven't become a great Verdi fan so far, though I've heard and watched quite a bit of his work. I love all sorts of other opera, from Monteverdi to Janacek and beyond, but not Verdi...until I heard the Don Carlo track from this new CD. When I first heard it, this singer and this orchestra somehow revealed the music of Verdi to me. I think it's because there's no bombast, no overacting, no wailing or shouting. | This is my first exposure to opera on blu-ray. What a great introduction. The audio and video are simply stunning and the cast is outstanding. I cannot wait to see what is coming in the future. For all those who argue endlessly about blu-ray versus upconverted dvds, stop wasting your time and enjoy the latest advancement in home theater. |

Dorothy Loudon will always be the best Ms. Hannigan (sorry Carol!), Andrea McArdle will always be the best Annie, and Reid Shelton will always be the best and brassiest Daddy Warbucks. | This is an excellent CD to introduce yourself to Segovia or to have a nice collection of many of his better works. The Guitar is well recorded given the era in which it was recorded.

| I loved this CD. But then, I have all of Andrea's CD's and could listen to his voice all day long regardless of what he is singing. The DVD was a mite disappointing, but I just wanted to hear his voice.
