| The first time I saw this I was excited and found when viewing this film that not only do you get to see pink floyd displaying how extremely talented and creative they are, but get to see them as individuals struggling with the world around them, their relationships with each other and themselves. very cool rare footage of pink floyd during the recording of dark side the moon! They play live and oh man is it swweet! |

| Not Many debut albums are this good. at least 6 hit songs are on this album, such as purple haze, the wind cries mary, and Fire. Overall, one of my favorite albums of all time |

| Bridge over Troubled Water is just one of those albums that just feels so damn complete. One after another, this album boasts quite some variety, especiallly considering that this album is folk based. Folk based just has that natural, organic sound, and variety in that is just great. | I remember back in the early 80's going through the (Cut-out)section of (albums)at my local music store,if any of you are old enough to remember those.I came upon and purchased the LP Slug Line.It was my first John Hiatt record.I now have some 14 of his albums and each one is better than the other.His musical skills and experimentation continue to awe me and his writting just blows me away.The lines he comes up with are just so real and true,I ecspecially like the one about "a few less brain cells and a lot less hair".

| Most of the other reviewers have made good points so I'll try to be brief and not repeat. I was always a fair weather Talking Heads fan and finally got fully into them with the live "The Name of This Band..." release. I was overcome and had to go out and get their first four releases. I feel the best wat to explore this band is to start at the beginning and you can slowly trace their progress from an educated pop band all the way into their more produced rhythms and textures. | I suppose after the success of John Wesley Harding Bob Dylan thought going back to Nashville and recording another album was a good idea. I'm wondering if all these years later, if he still feels that way. I know the album was a commercial success, that "Lay Lady Lay" was a top ten hit as a forty-five, but, for me at least, there is something missing here. This is a happy record, recorded by a happy man. At least that's they way it seems to me and that's not the way I like to think of Dylan best. I see him as, if not a leader of his generation, ...
