| I am a huge Bruce Springsteen fan, and have nearly all of his CD's, and I am still a huge fan, but I don't think this CD is one of his best. Don't get me wrong - Springsteen has a knack for telling stories about people who have been through hard times and who have been through the darkest parts of life, and he has a knack for making us feel these characters' pain, but, I think the tone of the music is too low keyed - it's almost as if the music on each track sounds the same.

| I've had 2-20-93 (the middle night of "At the Roxy") as a cherished part of my tape collection since the mid 90s. The Pharmers Almanac rated it as Phan Pick #3 and I couldn't agree more. | I think that this is so much better than the film score.
I have tastes for most kinds of music and after seeing the musical I appreciate the music more. I love the songs "Shadowland", "Endless Night" and both "They Live in you" you get a feel for the characters more. Definitly worth buying! |

People are always going to complain that there are tracks missing, these people are true fans and probably already own all the albums...to this I say make your own greatest hits cds on your computer. | First of all let me say I LOVE SIMON AND GARFUNKEL and their music is wonderful. But what we have here is somebody's mistaken idea that a greatest hits album should for some reason not include greatest hits! That's what I thought when the album was first released on vinyl, and here we are still dealing with this rip-off almost four decades later. | It's sad that Stevie Wonder is best known and will be remembered by most for his ballads ala the schticky "I Just Called To Say I Loved You." This album confirms his genius and echoes strangely enough for me - The Beatles' Sgt Pepper's album. Songs like "Village Ghetto Land" reflect a storytelling aspect.
Like many artists of the seventies, Stevie was pretty progressive on this one. Some serious music here crossing a wide range of styles. |
