The band gives some charged up arrangements of great traditional songs, while offering three new ones to the mix. | This is a good product and a great sing along cd for children (and adults to for that matter). It could do without a repeat of all the songs though. I have no idea what "spilt track format" is supposed to add. Including the lyrics and coloring activities is a nice touch. |

| I'm not a fan of Christian hard rock, or even hard rock in general. Due to its generally having little thematic variety, few hard rock albums I've come across offer much more than melodramatic despair, arrogant hatred, and selfish depression. Christian Hard Rock bands tend to follow suit, but must pay lip service to redemption and hope if they want to please the Christian mainstream. | Although this is certainly not what I was expecting, it is a treat.
As Barlowgirl is a band that normally rocks with the best of them, I was expecting rock and roll versions of these Christmas tunes. It is not that. Rather, these are done in the classic style of holiday songs. Combined with the beautiful voices and superb harmonies of Barlowgirl and it becomes a real work of art.
