| The reason I gave this 3 CD Set 4 stars instead of 5? These recordings
were made before 'Stereo' came along. But, the engineers did a great job of transfering (Re-mastering?) the songs to CD, and they sound very good. Seventy-five classics by the greatest crooner of the 20th century. Interested in 'Sinatra in Stereo'? You might also buy "The Reprise Collection"-- it's ALL in stereo. | This soundtrack has multiple versions of the 10 songs in the film. The first are done by the characters' voices and then Burl Ives does a repeat of all the songs as well. It's not a bad thing; just a whole lot of music. Fun, lively soundtrack that reminds me of the movie and makes me feel cheery. I recommend the CD; just be prepared for a lot of repetition and a lot of Burl Ives! |

| Another one of Julie Andrews wonderful musical movies! I never thought I'd find Mary Poppins on CD but was very happy when I did! As I then could learn like Mary Poppins how to say Supercalifragilistic backwards which I'm still learning how to do and as it as taken this long I don't think I ever will. |

| It was listening to this CD that made me want to see the show on Broadway. The show I saw had Clay Aiken in it, he did a great job. This recording has David Hyde Pierce as Robin and, of course, he is great, too. The show is hilarious and every time I hear this CD I remember the stage business that accompanied this music. These songs are send-ups of classic Broadway show tunes. I don't know if the album stands on its own if you haven't seen the show. But, if you enjoyed Monty Python's previous CD's you should like this one also. It'll make you want to dance and sing. |
