| The name of this album should be "I Am the Greatest!" because that is what this album is for Stevie Ray. Any blues/rock lover will absolutely wear this CD out because it is the vary essence of SRV music. The only CD left to buy is his Live at Austin City Limits, his best performance ever in my opinion! |

| I thoroughly enjoyed the CD. However, someone got hold of my credit card info & charged over $600.00 on Amazon.com. Fortunately, my credit card company noticed the charges, informed me & put a block on any subsequent charges. Needless to say, I'm a little "gun-shy" after the experience. I was able to recoup the bogus charges but I had to create a new account, obtain a new credit card, etc. Any suggestions? |

| JJ Grey and Mofro have really put together a great album. Nearly every track takes me back to outside of the West side of Jacksonville. Few artists reflect the proud heritage of North Florida like these guys. Well worth the listen. |

| I bought this CD for the Tracy Chapman/Eric Clapton "Give Me One Reason" rendition. This is a great CD!
Tracy Chapman's "O Holy Night" is beautiful, non traditional but sung like a loving lullaby, just lovely, one of the nicest renditions I've ever heard, and I really like this song. Jon Bon Jovi plays both "Please come home for Christmas" and "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" really nicely, like he was made to play these songs. | I thought Clapton's work during the '70s couldn't get any better than Derek and the Dominoes, but I was wrong. 461 Ocean Blvd. is a great mix of traditional blues like Robert Johnson's "Steady Rollin' Man" and the opening track, "Motherless Children" is a beautiful collage of distorted blues guitars(George Terry with Clapton). "Motherless Children" should be played on classic rock stations alot more than it is.
The album also features Clapton's hits like "I Shot the Sheriff" and "Let It Grow" but it dips into unknown ... Read More: |

| This cd is worthy of its reputation, and is the last great recording by Eric Clapton. "Malted Milk", "Walkin' Blues", "Layla", which he was able to successfully alter to fit an acoustic setting, "Nobody Know You When You're Down & Out", the classic made famous by Bessie Smith and later covered by an aged Scrapper Blackwell, and "Tears In Heaven", are all exceptionally great tracks. "Hey Hey" is not one of Broonzy's better songs, so I'm not sure why Clapton chose to record it. "Old Love" is mediocre, but "Running On Faith" is wonderfully ... Read More: |
