| I was looking for an 80's music collection and after reading reviews selected this one. I was not disappointed. This set is an outstanding collection and features a great range of music. The recording quality was excellent. The 80's pop culture book that accompanies this set is interesting and highlights important events of the decade and background on each of the songs featured in the set. I recommend this set to anyone interested in 80's music! |

| As a Ed Head of over 20 years and having seen these guys over 100 times I can honestly say this is the greatest release ever from a band whose previous work has already garnered numerous awards. The best thing about these guys is the energy and pacing of their live shows, it is captured in this release.

This was your typical 1980's boxset, when CD technology was first emerging. It contains about 60% previously released material, and 40% unreleased material (many of which should have never been released). | I first had this album about 30 years ago. I loved it, as I did all Ry Cooder's albums. It was stolen in waht I termed " The Great CD and Cassette(!) Robbery of 2000.
I re bought it a few weeks ago and found that the music had lost none of it's rythm, it's magic and fabulous sound. A true Oldie, but still a Goodie. |

| This is Ronnie Earl's first DVD. He is a fantastic example of post-modern Blues Guitar. His playing is understated and soulful but his phrasing is really exemplary. I have been playing this DVD for about two weeks to write a review of it and I must say that is really grows on you. Ronnie decided that, in the early 1990s, he would stop playing with a singer and play the blues in the true Earl Hooker style-where he got his name "Earl" from.
