| Bought this album a few days ago mainly for the reason I'm a huge fan of Jack Johnson and everyone on his label, but also for the reason i love Christmas music. I would say that this is a great buy for anyone who loves the relaxed sound of Jack Johnson. It nice to hear some of your favorite artist sing songs that you've heard your life and for me this will just add to the wonderful collection of Christmas music i already have. | I will be honest, this is the first Beck CD I have ever purchased. In the past I would here a track and say to myself, "wow that is so cool". It seemed like a post-modern mish mash, very unique---at first. In reality it was like Doritos...delicious at first, but not sustaining. I am glad there were all those previous recordings, playing with strange musicality (kind of ultra-white boy chic)and wacky lyricism because it leads to this release. | I don't want to turn you off this CD just because of the sound (and I am sure the Linkin Park fanatics will not care anyway), but I'd like to know who engineered and mixed this live album and have a talk with them. Not only is the whole thing mixed EXTREMLY bass heavy, but as soon as I turn it up, I start to get distortion (unless I really fiddle with the equalizer on my stereo---which I should NOT have to do). | This is a great JM CD if you are already a fan and are looking for that extra acoustic take on some familiar songs. I love the vocal rhythm changes in "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" and the soft guitar in "Belief" I definitely think that this offers a cool, chill feel to John's music, and is a nice tag along with "Where the light is?" |

| Great Oasis's disc are generally consistent from top to bottom. They also have a great, "can't live without" type single as well. The second LP was chock full of them and the last one had a great one in "Lyla". This CD doesn't have a truly great single type standout track. However, one should not pass this CD up because it is generally strong from top to bottom. The use of tamboura is a nice touch. These guys know how to make strong records and this one is no exception.

| Until I had listened to them for a while, some of my all-time favorite albums were initially disappointing. Way to Normal is turning out to be one of those albums.
A somewhat recent convert to Ben Folds (with the Five and otherwise), I have come to appreciate his gifts for melody and storytelling. And these gifts continue to be apparent on Way to Normal. | This is my favorite of all of Fall Out Boy's music. The songs are great, and I just love it. I've loved it for about 3 years, and it isn't dying off, so that says something, huh? I got it after "From under the cork tree" came out, and I was not disappointed. |

| I LOVE soundtracks, especially when they include the actual music from the movie. If you have read any of my other soundtrack reviews, you will notice that NOT MANY soundtracks include actual music from their respective movies.
Juno, however, DOES. Not only does the soundtrack include all of the music used, it includes it IN THE ORDER IT APPEARS IN THE MOVIE ... yay! I considered buying the 2-disc special edition of this, but in the end I purchased this single-disc version. I am HAPPY with my choice. Read More: |
