| Ok the title is a bit silly since I don't tend to use FTW at all but having been an on again off again Metallica fan I have to say I would have paid full peice for this set of songs. Really enjoyed the range thay showed on this and I will probably go an pick up again my favorites from the past ...... I'm glad my girlfriend told me it was getting good press....and the fact it was 5 dollars at the time made it hard to pass up - price of a coffee and croissant cant beat that....

| I won't deny that AC/DC's latest offering, "Black Ice," is nothing more than their standard, straight ahead, gritty, grubby hard rock. But would you expect anything else from these guys? While many hard rock bands that ruled throughout the late 70's/80's modified their sound in an attempt to save their waning careers once the 90's hit, AC/DC was content with sticking to what they did best, which was provide simple, fun hard rock tunes to the masses. It's a formula that's worked well for them so far.

| This isn't rocket science. They aren't trying to create the next great masterpiece. After 30 years of listening to AC/DC, I know what to expect with each release; AC/DC sounding like....AC/DC. There's no mystery here. They aren't fixing what's not broken.
If you want to stomp your feet and just listen to fun rock and roll, AC/DC is your band. If you want to hear Metallica out-do their last album, they are your band. And I like them, too. I love this album. I knew what I was getting when I bought it. If you are ... Read More: |

| I wasn't previously aware of Cynic as some of the reviewers here were. I dropped in Traced In Air and was impressed. I even surprised myself by hitting play and listening to the album in it's entirety a second time. As I listened I tried to pin the band's sound down. They have an outstanding drummer in Reinert. This and certain song structure reminded me of Rush. Although Reinert does the double kick drum when needed he also creates some killer rhythms reminiscent of Phil Collins. | The audio and video on this DVD is stunning. I wish they'd release this in a Blu-Ray format.
Great song list, better than the Lamentations DVD. The only complaint i have is that the camera shifting/editing is kinda fast (although not as bad as some other concert DVD's)...When editing companies going to stop this??? We want to see the bands and guitar players shred. Not see MTV-styled quick camera shifting. Like i said, its not as bad as some others though and this is still excellent. Highly recommended! | Twilight Of The Thunder God was a very nice album, I find this new offering from Amon to be very enjoyable. It has some amazing songs and my favorites being Varyags of Miklagaard, Twilight Of The Thunder God, Guardians Of Asgaard and Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags while not as perfect as their previous album With Oden On Our Side. With Oden on Our Side was such a solid album which made it harder for them to top it off, I mean don't get me wrong this was still a brilliant album and the addition of guest musicians like Apocaliptica, Lars Petrov from Entombed ... | As a big fan of the show "Metalocalypse" I was exited about getting this album. I listened to most of the songs online beforehand, loved them, and decided to buy my first music CD since the late 90's. Once I popped it in at home I was attacked by a brutal metal force.
If you like Metallica, Iron Maiden, and guitar solos you will LOVE this CD. Without the cartoon to distract you, the music will surprise you with its quality. Tracks range from very melodic to very heavy, and the lyrics are satiric and dark. NOTE: "Crush my Battle Opponents Balls" ... Read More: |

| At first this didn't even sound like the same lead singer from the last album. I don't like their sound, it has no edge to it. The singing sounds especially sugar coated. This album doesn't flow like the last one. I don't really care for most of This Darkened Heart or this one. |
