| It's funny how an artists age shows in their music by what they sing about. I thought this cd was well put together and liked the female vocals too. |

| Staind, a band that started out as part of Fred Durst's rap-rock circle, have outlasted most of their peers. The "progress" alluded to in the album's title has been a slow, steady maturation away from heavy rock to mid-tempo ballads. The music isn't half bad, but they've moved so far to middle-of-the-road rock that this album could be any number of current chart-toppers (Daughty, Three Doors Down, Nickleback, etc.). | I enjoyed and continue to enjoy this album. Sounds much different from most of Trent's other stuff. Maybe most like "With Teeth". The first four songs (1,000,000, Letting You, Discipline, and Echoplex) are really good. Head Down is OK. The album then tapers off and finally finishes with "Demon Seed", another good rocking song. I thought this was a better album than "Year Zero"; I'm finding that I listen to this album quite a bit more than "Year Zero". | This doesn't strike me as a "Greatest Hits" exactly, but is a good studio collection for a great sale price. All in all, it has a nice mellow quality about it, but if you're looking for something with more "adrenaline", go for the live recordings of the "Nine Tonight" cd. |

| "Bootleg flyer " ??? What a stupid song. Who wants to think about that in there head......driving down the road. What about " Orpan of the storm " ?? Now there's a happy tune ( YA, RIGHT !! ). And why is Tom Petty singing about, what sounds like some dark, evil angel, in the song " SCARE EASY " This is not a cheerful selection of songs, for the rest of the album.
