| I listened to this album once through quietly at work before listening carefully to each of the tracks. First of all, the fact that David wrote or co-wrote 10 of the 12 tracks is amazing - and rare. Not only do the songs sound incredible, they are obviously personal and deeper than the average Top 40 hit. My favorite track is "Permanent" but it is heartbreaking and difficult to listen to. | Okay, so I have every album Nickelback has ever done and I've loved them from the beginning. First I want to know why everyone is so brutal about artists changing direction with their content and sound. I thought it was about expression, no? | I notice that a lot of people really haven't liked a The Killers CD since Hot Fuss. I suppose if you are person who expects a band to never grow in their creativity or music styles, you might be disappointed in this CD.

| This is a must album for all Coldplay fans.
Chris Martin said "this is the album we always wanted to make" and it clearly shows. Unlike their past albums (that I still love) this one offers a distinctive collection of songs with a more layered sound. Aparently Brian Eno (U2 Producer) was brought in for this very reason. | There's a joke there that you'd get if you read my review for Keane's new album, Perfect Symmetry (sorry, couldn't find a link). Overall, it's a rather slow album that just kind of hangs around in the zone of brooding melancholy and doesn't really go anywhere. Dido has a wonderful voice but she seriously doesn't offer us anything truly exceptional to even require her inclusion into these songs. | I haven't even bought the CD yet, and I'm blown away... I just watched the 2 videos on this music site of "A Change is Gonna Come" and "If you Don't Know me By Now". Seal is sounding so beautiful, as always, he just gives me chills. This'll be the very next CD I buy :) |

the ALBUM is what matters here. i love the lyrics, and the guitar work is pretty darn awesome for how young they are. the only downside is that this music can be listened to for exactly a week before it gets super annoying. of course, you could do what i did - you can always go back to it in a few months and its okay. overall, a great album to buy ...
