I'm not with the club bangers but plenty of street slappers to keep you satisfied. 40 made a lot of feddy with Ghetto Report card so he's trying to duplicate it with Ballstreet Journal so I can't be mad at him. Get yo'paper forty. This would be like him going out and getting Jermaine Dupree, Timbaland and Puffy back in the day to produce In A Major Way. I'm glad he didn't back then. | 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G. are the two best rappers in our generation (Kanye West could be the third best as well). And it's a shame that these two were shot and killed back in the 90's. These were true rap artists. 2Pac didn't sing about sex and cars and money. His songs dealt with discrimination, tough childhood, religion, love for California, family dysfunction, and much more. He was truly unique, and he and B.I.G. are still the best rappers of all time.

| I've always thought the Black Eyed Peas were reminiscent of The B-52s. It's not that their sound is so much like theirs' (They sound nothing alike.), it's that they have the same quirky, fun, spirit.
This is the way pop music should be. It's incredibly corny, the lyrics are dumb and shallow, but it just sounds right. You can tell they don't take themselves too seriously, and that's a good thing... to me at least. |

| After the crumble of legendary gangsta rap group N.W.A., Dr. Dre signed with Death Row Records to release one of the greatest masterpieces in west coast hip-hop "The Chronic", which was the beginning of the amazing G-Funk era. You'd be a fool not to call this a classic.

| Let's face it- Ice Cube's cultural relevance has waned. While hood ills grip urban America just as they did 20 years ago, Ice Cube's poetic hatred has lost some of its fire. In "Raw Footage," Cube continually makes excuses for urban ills, blaming society, the white man, prisons, etc. He's just lobbing darts as the oppressor's dartboard, and while he's right to a point, he doesn't seem as hard on the hood for reveling and glorifying the poison that keeps the vicious cycle oiled (though "Hood Mentality" is a notable exception).
