| Ever since I read a synopsis of her life and music career in the newspaper a year ago, I was intrigued. I went to see her in a small local theater, and since then I was hooked. She mixes African and Spanish rythms with jazz and Latin beats to create an amazing sound. Her voice is captivating and penetrating. She portrays herself through her music. |

| The CD is well worth the money. She is a very talented artist and it is shown in this cd. I got to see her in concert and she sounds exactly the same as she does on the album so you know that there has been no work done on the cd. She plays the instruments as she sings. She is very great. I wish her first cd was a steal like this one. BUY IT! |

| I like the fact that Santana has collaborated with vocalists on his recent cds, but this release is the most uninspired of his last 3 albums. The songs featuring vocalists are boring in their "smooth jazz" approach. I feel he doesn't have much more to give, and is just going through the motions on the instrumental songs, as well,(same old, same old). Time to retire, or at least take a break to get the creative juices flowing. |

| I discovered Astrud Gilberto quite by accident when rummaging thru my sister's extensive jazz album collection...
Really wanted to hear her defintive interpretations of 'Corcovado' (after being captivated by EBTG's brilliant drum 'n bass remake) and the seminal standard 'The Girl From Ipanema', and am really enjoying this album. |

| I've just "discovered" Javier Colina here in Montevideo, Uruguay, South America, during the Jazz Tour Festival in September 2008.
I was absolutely amazed by his technique, his swing and his joy in making music. Once at home after the concert I found this CD in Amazon and I said to myself: These two men together must be dynamite. | What a great recording! When I got this, a couple of months ago when it first came out, I almost cried when I played it. It was so like another favorite of mine, the Bill Evans Trio with Symphony Orchestra recording. Finally. Danilo's playing and Ogerman's arranging/conducting are superb. This is not to be missed.
