| Vince Guaraldi was a true jazz master and did his best work writing for the Charlie Brown specials. Every track on this CD is worth listening to musically as well as for the nostalgia. One of the few commercial Christmas albums that does a good job reminding us why there is a Christmas. |

| I'll keep this short. I've got a lot of Miles' Cds and this is probably the one I listen to the most. All the songs are great on it and I love Coltrane's work on this one too. I agree with others that say this is their favorite quintet. Not to negate what the future Davis groupings were but this one definitely had something that could not be replicated. A well balanced unoffensive classic jazz album. Recommended for Jazz pros and Jazz newbies alike. Soulful |

| Miles Davis' 1960 album Sketches Of Spain shows a wide variety of Jazz with a few Spanish sounding instruments, which highly explains the reason for the album's title. The horns on the album are so deep and the Spanish bells throughout the background helps elevate the sound. The tracks that I enjoyed the most are "Concierto de Aranjuez (Adagio)" and "Solea", both songs clocking in over 10 minutes. | I discovered Astrud Gilberto quite by accident when rummaging thru my sister's extensive jazz album collection...
Really wanted to hear her defintive interpretations of 'Corcovado' (after being captivated by EBTG's brilliant drum 'n bass remake) and the seminal standard 'The Girl From Ipanema', and am really enjoying this album. |

| First of all, I was blown away by the recording. The ambience of the audience only adds to the feeling that you are right there, front row, listening, watching three guys ripping it. This is truly one of the best live recordings I have heard, jazz or otherwise. The reperoire between the musicians seems almost telepathic, but the audience doesnt really appreciate the specialness of what they are hearing. They had no idea that less than a month later Scott Lefaro would be tragically killed in an auto accident.
