| Just bought this CD a couple of weeks ago. I enjoyed listening to it because there's something different about these music compared to contemporary ones. Although obviously they are very modern, you can say Moby's technique of utilizing notes harks back to medieval times. The prolongation of some notes (which are hypnotizing) resembles those of the chants used in religious services. The transitions can be compared to majority of the classical/baroque music. And who could miss the vocals that resemble arias? |

| I purchased this to REPLACE my vinyl and old scratched up CD versions. Yes, I own the original vinyl AND the original CD release. I love the music. I wanted to finally add it to my MP3 collection of which I actually BUY all the music in. Oh, and I don't give copies away like the music companies say we all do......... anyhow, I bought this only to find that it's full of copy protection crap. | This is a perfect collection for the holidays, or any occasion. I have the complete Winter Solstice set, and lost the first album in a divorce. This seems to be out of print, but found a like new, perfect one on Amazon. I would highly recommend these for anyone who likes to sit and comfortably relax to soothing music. Steve |

| The first time I listened to this CD, I was hooked. It is so relaxing that I listen to it every day. I bought one for my chiropractor to use in her office w/ patients to help them relax while they enjoy moist heat and wait their turn. I could easily fall asleep! |

| and saint dymphna is a decent album. the song lengths are shorter and the compositions are more condensed so you basically get more bang for your buck, though the ggd style shines through in all its new age world breakbeat twitter rock glory. a guest vocalist appears on 'princes', a grime dancehall guy which is ok, but there are some quieter, slower moments on the album, although the classic ggd flourishes have always been the attraction for me. this album provides something new from ggd that is familiar but developed in a good direction. ... | I was excited to receive this cd and took it to a friends house for a weekly meditation group. We ended up turning it off. The sounds on this cd seemed to be more about getting on our nerves than about peace and relaxation. The group didn't care for it. But it seems as though many do find it enjoyable and relaxing. So give it a try if you like, it just wasn't for me. |
