| I liked "Cryptograms" PIL-type assaults better than its bliss-out comedown tracks. This new CD may, therefore, please listeners who favor the softer side, akin more to Bradford Cox's solo project Atlas Sound. Since I love shoegazing, "Microcastles" satisfied me especially in its later tracks on disc one. | I happened to have seen them, live, in Omaha, NE, and I was unaware of this album. I checked a few clips, and remember some of the songs They are mesmerizing.
Their style is what it is. Eclectic for sure, but their own. Not outstanding, but excellent. |

| I discovered Girl Talk after stumbled across his remix of a Bonde Du Role song. There's 250 samples from 167 artists on the album. This is what happens when an engineering student discovers drugs. Play this album in your car and watch your friends ask, "hey, what is that?" Play it in a club and get everyone dancing. Sense of humor mandatory. Gregg Gillis is the mash up shiz. |

| This is the first Sigur Ros album I bought and I can personally attest it is a good album. There is Hoppipolla, a truly fine song and the closest thing to a hit song the Icelandic band ever had (it is very familiar as it has appeared on tv shows, etc.). The rest is basically ambiance music, sad but haunting. If you are feeling depressed because your longtime girlfriend has left you, listening to this record on a rainy day while commiserating on your fate seems like a natural thing to do. |

| This is a great album. It is one of my favorite Sonic Youth albums. Unlike a lot of their albums this one is not so experimental in sound, and is easier to listen to. If you have a Sonic Youth itch and you are not sure which album to start with this one is a good choice. |
