| I just cried. So beautiful getting a 2008 new reissue vinyl/lp/record of T'STN.
I haven't listened to a fresh piece of vinyl out of the plastic wrapper holding the 12' album cover the 12' new record in soooo long. And putting it on the techinics turntable with the Grado blue p mount just made me emotional. Since 1988 when they stopped making records I thought the cd would be a perfect replacement. | As someone who loves the Beatles I looked forward to receiving this. I enjoy it, the only issue is that some of the songs are like out-takes, etc from recording sessions.
Not that it is bad, but with some of the tunes, I just want to hear the song as I recall them. No reflection on the seller or product, I just didn't read what it was. |

| I bought the eight album box set on vinyl and the sound quality is excellent. Alternate versions of PURPLE HAZE and HEY JOE are highlights as are live versions of THE WIND CRIES MARY, LIKE A ROLLING STONE, HEY JOE, PURPLE HAZE, SPANISH CASTLE MAGIC and I DON'T LIVE TODAY. Different versions of STONE FREE, EZY RIDER, and NIGHT BIRD FLYING are also great listening. This is music made when they were a great band --and not filthy rich corporate shills that rock out for aging, middle class and yuppie baby boomer corporate drones; while sticking it to the people with absurdly high ticket prices, all for the glory of their lost youth and Budweiser or whoever the corporate god is to whom they pay tribute on that particular tour. |

| If the record company would add: "Good Golly Miss Molly,Keep on Chooglin, Born on the bayou, Hello marry lou, Midnight special and maybe Obee-dobee",.......we would have a perfect CD. At the lengths there makeing CD's now....."I'm sure they could tack on these 5-6 songs to the end of this album, AND make a ONE CD album ". Which is what CCR needs, with all the hits. | When I first heard a few cuts from this album I know I had to have it, and I was not disappointed! I have listened to it again and again. The songs "Echo", "Room at the Top" and "Swingin" I have actually listened to all day. I am a relative "newcomer" to the Tom Petty bandwagon and I have found his music to be absolutely incredible.
