| Ever since I read a synopsis of her life and music career in the newspaper a year ago, I was intrigued. I went to see her in a small local theater, and since then I was hooked. She mixes African and Spanish rythms with jazz and Latin beats to create an amazing sound. Her voice is captivating and penetrating. She portrays herself through her music. |

| Been waiting for Al Jarreau to bring out a Christmas CD for a long time. His "White Christmas" cover is one of my favorites. This year, he's listened and gifted us with a CD. And what a generous gift, too. Jarreau's packed a whopping 14 songs and 54 plus minutes into this collection.

| Chris is to the trumpet what musak (sp.?)is to the elevator. It's not that he's not a proficient player--he is. It's that his music is so homoegenous and bland. It just drones on and on regardless of what he's playing. Too bad--he could be very creative and engaging, but not to these ears. |

| Finally, a great collection of Christmas music from the legendary Spyro Gyra! I do love Christmas music and personally own several hundred CD's of Christmas music. As a musician, I have a high standard of quality that I want in this type of music. This is now one of my favorites. If just for the "cool" performances of "Carol of the Bells" & "The First Noel". | Already a big fan of all three uber-bassists, Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten and Stanley Clarke, this cd came as a wonderful surprise. Melodic and jazz-infused, the music is a bass players wet dream. The casual music listener probably won't get their fancies tickled by this one, but if you're a musician who appreciates precision, virtuoso performance, Thunder is a must.
