| This is what music is all about to me--a great beat that makes it hard to stay sitting down, with a MESSAGE. This isnt your generic 'irie mon' reggae (which i love), this is ala bob or ziggy or stephen marley--inspirational words that make you think hard about important things, but make you realize you are happy to be alive. This crosses all genres of music-I cant imagine anyone not loving this and being inspired by it. Thanks Michael! |

| Gorillaz is definitely one of the more noticeable musical experiments of the passing decade. The idea of a cartoon character band, devised by Blur's Damon Albarn and comic book artist Jamie Hewlett ("Tank Girl"), was enough to catch my interest. The music that sprung from this unusual premise of a 'band' caught my ear, as well. This namesake album covers a wide variety of genres - everything from soul-funk to hard rock, psychadelic keyboard strolls to Latino-jazz.

| I was first introduced to the Flobots while I was driving to pick up Rock Band for a party. The guy in the car with me popped in his mix cd and put on Handlebars. I thought it was a pretty okay song. After hearing it on the radio a few times, I decided to go buy the album. This was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Fight With Tools is one of my favorite albums ever, now. I'm not normally a fan of rap music, but this album spoke to me on a level that few other albums have. | I bought this for the Saving Grace song but the other songs are good too. Listen to the words, he has some interesting thoughts. Lanuage is a bit rough so be prepared but do get beyond that. |
