| I just don't see why people think this is such a great album. Marc Anthony doesn't sing as well as Hector Lavoe and it sounds like he is imitating him and at least I can tell, he just is not believable and if Marc Anthony is going to sing Hectors songs he should just interpret the music it in his own way. No one sings like Hector so if you like his music buy his albums you can't go wrong! |

| I love classic Cumbia, and I love classic Garage rock. SO Im thrilled to discover this intersection of styles. THe peruvian folk meoldies are an added bonus. Candy!

| Juan Luis Guerra is one of the best and this CD definitely has his best! If you don't own any of his CD's, must start with this one. Please note Track 3 is not "Woman del Callao" as the ad indicates, but "Si Tu Te Vas" which is a GREAT merengue song!!! So glad this song was in the CD! Like another reviewer said, this CD has beautiful, romantic, clean lyrics. Juan Luis Guerra's greatest hits include mostly merengue with some bachata hits (beautiful songs) and one salsa song. | This CD has been a staple in our family for the past 4 years. I simply never tire of it. It is not "kids' music" but family music!
The instrumentation is beautiful, the artists and songs are earthy, rich and varied, and it does not have that slick, overproduced feel but just a bit raw, and totally real. | I just speak very few of spanish..but listen to this CD really blew me away, particularly "ahora quien" made me cry thinking my lost love ..sigh :(
