| What to begin to say about this album? First off....
"Thanksgiving": This song is ALWAYS the first thing I hear early Thanksgiving morning just before sunrise while the world is calm, quiet...and typically quite cold!...outside. This sets the tone and mood like nothing I've ever known. | I was given Winston's 'Winter' as a gift long ago, and years later, still love it. Just received 'Autumn' and it is an incredible companion on my drive to and from work each day. Each song begins with a repetition of simple notes, so hang in there - as these notes weave themselves into beautiful complex melodies, before revisiting the original notes once again. Definitely had to listen to it twice before absolutely loving it, but it is an ear-quenching favorite. |

| As always, Sissel excels with her wonderful voice. Never a song that you don't like hearing over and over again. Especially beautiful is her duet with José Carreras in "Quando Sento Che Mi Ami" (can be watched on YouTube). |

| These are not really the traditional arrangements you may be expecting. I have really enjoyed this album over the last couple of Christmas seasons. It is a great CD to have playing in the background while you are entertaining guests or enjoying other holiday activities. It's a great stand alone album for when you want to get lost in the music but also works well for ambiance when you don't want the music to be the main point of focus. This has some old favorites, some new spins on old favorites and some new surprises. |

| Yes the majority of the music is on other works and the company should have informed the consumer. I do however like having all the great music pieces on one cd. Now you don't have to fish around your collection to play the tracks that you like. All the tracks are great. If your a Solstice fan like i am you'll love it. I do believe that there are some tracks that were not on any of the other cds. Great Christmas / holiday music. There are no vocals on this cd yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
