| Absolutely loved this and wish I could have seen the production with the original cast. Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth's voices mesh so well together. Their voices just evoke such emotion.
This story of how the Elphaba became the Wicked Witch of the West is interesting. It reminds me of a noir story. Every action has a consequence. The music and songs are successful in conveying the complexity of the story. |

| I love it and play it frquently in my car to work. Someone said he is the new Frank Sinatra. My mother in law agrees. Did not know he sang the song "Everything". It is played on the radio everyday. Good quality music.. |

| I like Michael Feinstein, he has a great voice but can't deliver a song anywhere near Sinatra. I know this is supposed to be a creative concept album based on Sinatra tunes, but I found it boring..unfortunately. Not one I would rush to play again and again. Feinstein has made some great albums and some very uninteresting ones. This was more the latter. |

| Despite the inclusion of accomplished musicians, the approach to the singing is affected and disconnected. To my ears, it's all self-conscious performance and fake emotion. Why take on Porter if you're not going to deliver the lyric with real, distilled feeling? This music speaks for itself. It doesn't need any attempt at drama, no matter how laid back. Kind of a Jane Monheit-type delivery. All hype, no gut. |

| Great purchase. Surely the most "complete" South Pacific I've ever come across. Kudos to the orchestra, who bring Rodgers score, with ample assistance from orchestrators Robert Russell Bennett and Trude Rittman, a freshness that is only improved by the clear digital sound. Emile is sung with exoticism and clarity, Nellie and Cable with youth and yearning. Well worth the eleven bucks. Even got me to write my first review. |
