| Out of the whole album, Ionly liked 6 songs. For Usher this is not personal best. I was little dissapointed. My favorite track is the Love You Gently joint. I think it's true that once a great singer falls in love and there music before didn't route from acctual love it gets worst. I Trading Places is also a good joint. But the video for it sucked. | This is my favorite Usher c.d. Second favorite is his first self titled "Usher" c.d. it didn't get much airplay like most of his songs now, but it should have. A secret only a true Usher fan would know about. |

| See the biggest thing that kept this album from being something truly speacial, was its shortness. Given it only has 10 tracks, one being a remix of another track on the album, it just didnt leave you with enough matireal to really stick with you. But this album was definetly Ush's coming out party. He had a album before this one, but it went pretty much unnoticed and barely even charted. | First thing's first, i don't like Usher and I never did. I wouldn't dislike him so much if he wasn't played everywhere and hailed as a god by women everywhere.
However, I do believe that everyone has the freedom to listen to whatever they want. I'm sick of reading reviews saying that this is garbage and then telling people what they "should" listen to. | This is a review for the CD version of "Wake up & say goodbye" not for the MP3 downloads. If you haven't heard David Usher before (or his former band Moist) give one of Canada's greatest singers a listen. This is the 6th CD of his I have purchased & no other cd's I have in my collection get played as much. (Others I consider as always solid would be Coldplay - until viva la vida, John Mayer, Rob Thomas). I would describe this cd as a smooth rock / pop sound. | Like reviewer Keith Thomson, I too was at first a little puzzled by the disappointment of some of the reviewers: I found "The Cave" very beautiful and very moving. Mr Thomson is very perceptive as a critic when he writes "to appreciate this piece, one must have a mind that is invited by the theological. This is a religious piece of music ... and it is expressed primarily through the spoken word."
