| I've been a blues fan for 30 years now and I'm always on the lookout for any band that plays fresh tunes and keeps the jams short and tight. A welcome record for anyone sick and tired of hearing the Chess songbook over and over and again.

| This CD was rated highly by other Amazon customers and I purchased it based on their recomendations. I was not disapointed. I loved it from the
first track on! I played it on my car CD player while traveling with a friend, and he immediately remarked that he loved it. He said he had grown up listening to those songs. | Elvin Bishop has a lot of good song's you will not find his best on this CD sad to say they could have got it right but someone made plenty of bad choices ! i would say half of it is good with 1)Sure feels good 2)Fooled around and fell in love 3)Travelin shoes 4)Rock my soul (live) 5)Stuttin my stuff being the best.The rest are clunker's just my 2 cent's ! |

| Elvin Bishop is another overlooked talent. Most people recall him as the country-bumpkin southern rocker from the 70's or as the "other guy" in the Butterfield Blues Band. He's a good guitarist who plays good, fun songs, especilly live. Wanna have some fun ? Check this one out ! |

| Yes that's how I feel about the lone Elvin Bishop song to make it into the top 40. I hated it with such a seething passion that I know I have to keep it clean here otherwise this won't get posted. The stupid key of "F", and that's the grade I give the song is the main reason I hate this song, but the lyrics tell me of something I could never do, and that's have alot of girls, and have them flock around me that way. | The highlight of this album is without a doubt the interplay of Jo Baker and Elvin Bishop. Elvin's focus shifted from zeaulous guitar work to songwriting. In my opinion, that gives it a lot of strength, making it without a doubt Bishop's best album. Fans of Van Morrison's 70's work will enjoy this album as well. |

| I bought this when it first came out on vinyl and have gone through 3 copies. I then bought a Japanese pressing on CD for about $10 Australian and it's still a fave album. But, US$70 !!!!, that's riduculous. If you can find it at a reasonable price, just get it and enjoy. Elvin's piano player Phil Aaberg is a master; as good as Chuck Leavell and Gene Taylor. This is crammed packed full of great tunes and is one of the best party albums of all time. For some enterprising record company it would be a good investment to get the license for this ...
