| Long Road Out Of Eden is an album the Eagles may as well not released. It is far from "classic Eagles". The best song on the disc is "Busy Being Fabulous" which is also the closest to the Eagles style, though more the flavor of a Don Henley single. Timothy Schmitt is good on "I Don't Want To Hear Any More", but the rest of the set is pretty much like a "tamed down, ready to retire Eagles sound" in my opinion. | i purchased this cd as opposed to "their greatest hits" cd's 1 and 2 because it has more songs and pretty much all the greatest hits. make the comparison and you will be very happy with this cd. every song is fabulous. |

| This album is beautiful- it has some of the best pop songs in recent years. This is the closest we're going to get to another Beatles album, so savor it. |

| This CD has not been remastered. It's an analog rip and has no polishing done like "One of These Nights" or "Eagles" releases.
If it says it's remastered then it should be remastered. Plus, there's no dynamic range to this Hotel California release "none" these people going on about "Henley's drums" really don't get it or have a good set of headphones. I love the Eagles and always will. But, be prepared to crank up the volume with this weak audio (un)mastered release. |

| Previously the Eagles' success baffled me, but I think I've got it figured out now: they brought the right stuff (dull pointless pedestrian soft-rock) to the right place (California) at the right time (the '70s). Their continued popularity today is probably more out of nostalgia and/or peer pressure ("How can you NOT like them?" say the fans. "Greatest Hits 1 is the biggest-selling album ever! If you don't like the biggest selling album ever, you don't have good taste!") than anything else.
