| I know alto saxophonist David Sanborn has his critics. Put him on after listening to a Kenny Garret CD and it's easy to see why. He's not exactly hardcore.
But I like him. His music was part of my introduction to contemporary jazz (or jazz fusion as it was called back then), so many years ago and I've been a fan ever since. | A walk along the beach with the moon amoungst the stars. The wind barely blowing. Coffee and quiet conversation afterward in an all night diner.Such a great musical journey. My 2nd copy has been ordered since the year it first came out.Timeless. |

| The grooves on this disc still sound deep to me, sixteen years later. I've been a fan of Sanborn's since "As We Speak," went back to the earlier stuff, and saw him twice during his 80's heyday. Marcus M's brilliant stroke of bringing in Ricky Peterson and his B-3 helped make this Sanborn's "escape" from the world that he accidentally created: Smooth Jazz. I just listened to clips from "Here and Gone," and it sounds like Dave may have begun yet another "hot streak" - I hope so. |

| Perhaps the greatest modern jazz saxophonist ever, David Sanborn runs the gamut here from warm, sensuous mellowness to tight, horn-drenched instrumental funk, and is a consummate master at both. Though not one of his more well-remembered songs, I think that the best song from this album is the horn-heavy, tropical-flavored "Bums Cathedral". If you don't have this album or don't remember what the song sounds like, I do suggest giving it a listen. |

| Bruce Willis singing is so much fun - his natural conveyance of his love of life is probably the best part of this CD - and Cybil Shephard, her voice is soooo very lovely - love how she does Blue Moon! - I own the LP, too - this CD is one of my very favorites! So, glad to have this again in my everyday world! |

| The CD was something that capture me when I was younger and I enjoyed listening to it even more so today. I was surprise to find that I was able to purchase this product at a reasonable cost.
