| Absolutely Horrible, specially after all the hype that preceded its launch.
If you want to listen to some recent great music by ENO buy Beyond Even (with Robert Fripp) instead. There is not a single tune here worth remembering. I can't believe these are the same guys behind My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts or a few Talking Heads albums... not to mention Rei Momo or Uh Oh as far as Byrne is concerned... | I purchased this to REPLACE my vinyl and old scratched up CD versions. Yes, I own the original vinyl AND the original CD release. I love the music. I wanted to finally add it to my MP3 collection of which I actually BUY all the music in. Oh, and I don't give copies away like the music companies say we all do......... anyhow, I bought this only to find that it's full of copy protection crap. | I first heard of this cd when it was first advertised on tv in the 90's but honestly thought nothing of buying it. However in 2001 I happened to spot this cd when I was stationed in Japan and am happy to have spent my money on this cd. Due to the variety of the songs I feel that this cd is good to listen to at work , when you are spending time with your loved ones, and relaxing and nurturing yourself when you are alone. | I highly recommend this album for fans of Talking Heads, David Byrne, or fans of live sets. I've bought a lot of music recently, and this is the best album I've bought in several months. He plays a mix of songs from the multiple groups he's played with, as well as some of his personal favorites(the last song). |

| This album contains a lot of experimental music, with a few early Talking Heads type songs sprinkled in. If you like Brian Eno's experimental music, you will like this album. |

| Highly enjoyable version, although my personal preference is the Canadian version with Donny Osmond. The narrator in the London version is top notch as are the other cast members - well worth the money for all this listening pleasure |

| I first bought this album back in '84 as an LP. I had long been a fan of Talking Heads and was curious of this new piece of material by Byrne. The person behind the counter of the music store warned me that this most likely would not be what I expected - this was no ordinary Byrne music, he said. And indeed it was not! Ever since I have been listening to this album over and over again. It is amazing how these somewhat simple compositions can make such impression. A pity that the album was not available on CD. | I love this guy's music. He is one of the best (and underrated) artists out there. This album was worth the money. Like Humans do, Walk..Water and a few others are outstanding songs. Some kind of lame, similar to old stuff he used to do that was slightly incoherent but still good art.
If you reeeeallly want some good stuff, try his Rei Momo, Feelings and the more recent Grown Backwards. These are KILLER and you won't be sorry if you are a DB fan. High level stuff. |
