| It was really not clear when purchasing this CD that it is only spoken word. I was at least able to determine this by reading the cover before taking off the plastic. How disappointing, especially for someone relatively new to Coldplay's music. |

| While it doesn't exactly transcend Parachutes, this is a very decent sophomore effort. Sure it's mopey; sure it's resigned. That's the whole point. The question then becomes, how well does it achieve its goal to mope you out? Well, as it turns out it's pretty damn effective in that department.

| "Don't Panic" is a great song, but that's not why you're considering buying this CD; if so, get "Parachutes," the whole album. You're here for the b-sides. Both are live recordings, but they sound very professional. "You Only Live Twice" is a good take on the Bond-movie title song; nicely adapted to fit the band's style, while remaining true to the spirit of the original. "Bigger Stronger" is even better, an aggressive rocker that must have been great in concert. Do these two songs add up to enough to make them worth ... Read More: |
