| OK, the Live From Norway disc is a much better value; however, I absolutely love the song Don't Panic, and I just had to have another version of it. This version pulled from a French radio session is excelent, and although it isn't a far cry from the studio work, the acoustic session adds some dimension do the track and brings it back into my playlist (which makes me very happy.) | Despite sounding good after a first listen, this track has suffered from overexposure. I hear it on tv ads touting s__t products; as background music for "inspiring" sports highlights; girl violin groups (you know, the ones trying to make classical "sexy") doing renditions; generally, any person or group looking to create some sense of majesty! oooh! excitement! grandeur! | Well, here's Coldplay's first release or you. It is quite enjoyable and has much in common with their first album in way of lyrical themes and overall sound. I find it a bit curious that none of these songs found their way onto CP's first record. They would have been better served and more appreciated there, but just as well. These are very good songs at a very fair price. So enjoy! |
