| The thing about Joe Beck is that people don't know how good or creative he is. I was fortunate to first hear him in 1975 on a Bill Watrous recording. His playing within that context immediately captured my attention.

| I am writing this as someone who really likes Beck but is not a total Beck-head (if that's even what they call themselves?). In fact, I should admit that my Beck history is probably a bit odd -- I started with "Mutations," then stayed away until I read a great review of "Guero" (which is now one of my favorite albums), and only recently bought "Odelay" (also terrific, although not as mature or coherent as "Guero"). | You know, Beck is respectable but it doesn't mean that I enjoy all of his albums. I mean, nothing by him touches Odelay but there's still other works I enjoy (Mellow Gold, Midnite Vultures, Sea Change, Guero). However, this release is just strange and I wonder how even the biggest fans of the record can listen to each song the whole way STRAIGHT from beginning to end. Sometimes, I view this as a mixtape and One Foot as a demo collection.

| I ordered the "We Are Marshall" music CD after watching the movie. NONE of the songs were on it other than the background music. The entire CD was merely background music. Very disappointing, I threw it out |

| Blow by Blow - The CD is what I remember from the past, which is what I was wanting.
After listening to the CD, I realized that I used to LOVE the LIVE version of some of these tunes... and so, I bought the Jeff Beck/Jan Hammer LIVE CD. Blow by Blow is a studio recording which I find a little "dry" when compared to the energy of the LIVE CD... But it's still Jeff Beck! |

| "Beercan" is the 2nd single off of Beck's breakthrough album "Mellow Gold", 5 tracks (24 min.) of which 4 are not on the album. "Beercan" is a great song, not as "essential" as "Loser" obviously, but a great dance tune. The 4 extra tracks are what make this a necessary addition to any Beck fan's collection. "Got No Mind" is a lazy accoustic song, just great. "Asskizz Powergrudge" is Beck at his experimental best. "Totally Konfused" is another accoustic song, just great.
