I have only downloaded two tracks off of his website, but they really are good. I've been meaning to pick up the CD. Great lo-fi acoustic stuff done by someone with a genuine passion for it that is contagious. Here's hoping that someone somewhere reads this review and checks this guy out. He deserves all the attention he can get.

Somebody posted the electric song at the party Cosmic Gate - Exploration of Space

I'm confirming this is THE correct song, I love it, the song is about 7 megabytes big, and the part you're looking is after the third minute.

Enjoy!

Guitarist Joe Beck with Pat Methaney's rhythm section of Mark Egan and Dan Gotlieb, along with Sax man Bill Evans will knock your socks off. This album is in the vein of John Scofield's A-Go-GO but much better, content wise and sonicly speaking. The sound is just incredible. The album has to be the most overlooked underheard record of 1996. This is the album Beck should have made on DMP. The performances here out class anything Joe has done for DMP and the sound is better. Sorry Tom Jung. ... Read More:

Music : Guinevere: Music From The Miramax Motion Picture
Guinevere is a haunting, beautiful film; with a similarly beautiful soundtrack. The five tracks by Christophe Beck will lift your spirits, and Sarah Polley's chilling vocals will ignite the soul with inspiration.

I'd recommend this CD, heard a track on the radio and decided to give the CD a go. A really cool disc, great for quiet listening.

Music : The New Pollution
The other reviewer is reviewing the wrong New Pollution single. As for this one, Lemonade is one of the stranger Beck b-sides you'll find... it alternates between thrashy-Beck-punk to pseudo-psych-folk (or something like that) anyhow, it's pretty fun, and catchy. The remix of New Pollution done here by the ever popular Mario C. has a middle eastern vibe with a few more beats thrown in... a much darker version of New Pollution and I actually like it better.

Music : Trouble or Nothin'
If you're wondering how some rocker chick album deserves a 5-star rating, I'll clarify this by saying that Robin Beck's 1989 debut Trouble or Nothin' is not a 5-star album like The Joshua Tree, American Idiot, or Images and Words. It is, however, a 5-star album in the limited context of late 80's rocker chick albums. Seriously, this is probably the best of that whole brief genre.

Trouble or Nothin' is one of those rare albums that have almost no filler tracks. This is as much a credit to ... Read More:

Music : Jeff Beck with the Jan Hammer Group Live
I was also amazed by the Brisbane Festival Hall show on the Jeff Beck with the Jan Hammer Group 1977 tour. My recollection was that the Jan Hammer Group had the stage to themselves for a decent set of their own music before Jeff Beck joined them. The Jan Hammer Group were a world class show in their own right, but the combination with Jeff Beck produced a bona fide supergroup. We were spoiled for choice of great touring acts in the seventies - including The Rolling Stones, Santana, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Frank ... Read More:
