| I've long been aware of Chris Beck, and believe that he is a brilliant composer who gave much of BtVS its emotional heft in S 2-4 and the finale for S 5. Just hearing these wonderful music tracks without the accompanying scenes only confirms my opinion, and some of them move me to tears. Anyone who is a fan of the show, and in particular the Buffy/Angel relationship shouldn't miss this CD. I agree with eveything M. G. Watson has to say about the score and Beck's talents. | I agree with most of the reviews - the London staging is the very best of the English language versions of 'Les Miserables'. Forget the New York (Broadway) production, much too polished (sanitized ?). It pales in comparison. The American version benefits from greater sophistication but at the cost of the original book.

| Sea Change marks Beck going into a territory some people probably would have never expected. Beck drops everything that made him loved (and hated): The tendencies to cram a gazillion styles into one song, his nonsensiclay lyrics, the quirky and irony style (and gimmick, for some times of it), and so on (granted, I don't exactly love this). | Truly my most listened to album of all time. I have it on my car cd changer and listen to it at least once a week and generally for no less than 3 times each. Simply the best ever and this from an almost 60 non musicale BTVS fan ( and ps you must also watch the actual episode if you haven't) |

| After years of absorbing classical and jazz, I have recently begun to gain an education in other styles of music. I had not heard of Beck prior to having it recommended to me. I am so glad I picked up this album! The sounds, the revolutionary ideas, the crazy songwriting... all come together to make this an amazing album.
I am not an expert in this music, so I will leave the detailed, long-winded reviews to those that know what they are talking about. I like it! |

| I've been a Beck fan since Mellow Gold came out. And I'm probably one of the few Beck fans that thinks Mellow Gold was not one of his better albums (aside from maybe 5 songs on it.) I loved Odelay (who didn't?) and I dug a lot of his work on Mutations and The Information...but in my opinion this is his most complete album out of them all. Odelay is close but even it had a little filler injected in it. Instead of going in depth on each album and describe each album in detail, i'm going to simply rate each album with how many stars I feel each album is worth based on the below criteria. | Mutations is an odd recording with a strange fellow, i.e., Beck. Bech Hansen is a one of a kind artist and I am not sure what category of music he does play. Since I can not make up my mind I put him in the experimental category. I love the book-let. It is quirky, odd and just like his music it does not make much sense. His lyrics are hard to grasp and he seems to happy to sing in riddles. I love how he made the decision to include the instruments and lyrics. | Every track on this record is great. There have been times in the last 14 years when I have listened to this record every time I am in the car for a week or two straight. You think the record is really good and then Beercan comes on more than halfway through and you realize this record is GREAT! If you have never listened to Beck start w/ this. If you like it keep going. |
