| I received this CD as a gift when I was pregnant with my first child. She is now the oldest of three and is now eleven years old. I played this CD every week throughout my pregnancy. I found it very comforting during a period of my life that seemed like a roller coaster ride. | I was expecting this to be true to its title"Meditation".
Though nice it's really just a random selection of music not necessarily soft or meditative. |

| I am not an authority on classical music, but I know what I like, as they say, and I think this is a lovely CD. The music is beautiful and quite lively. If you like classical music at all, I do not think you will be disappointed with this CD. I also HIGHLY recommend the "Bach for Book Lovers" CD. I listen to these two CDs often whence reading, working on the computer, day dreaming, and otherwise. If you particularly like Mozart, I can also highly recommend "Mozart for Meditation." | The recording is a fantastic snap shot of a truly great artist at the top of his game. The Lp version is a bit more lush in terms of overall sound. I wish someone would remaster this to 180 gram vinyl. This set is a wonderful opportunity to experience music playing beyond belief! |

| I used to have this CD when I was maybe 8 years old. Now I'm 21, and I'm thinking of buying it again, because I have such fond memories of it. As I remember, it's perfect for younger kids (i.e. me) as an introduction to Beethoven's music, and as long as it's not too loud, it's very easy to fall asleep to. |

| i went searching for a Beethoven CD because i was lucky enough to find this wonderful Mozart one. But this Beethoven CD doesnt have the best performances. The most popular pieces are apparently played by beginners because the notes sound disjointed, as if they arent playing together but playing each piece separately, which is not what an orchestra is supposed to sound like....otherwise we wouldnt call it an orchestra....it would be an elementary school meddley! | The Grumiaux Trio and the Beaux Arts trio are highly respected groups in the domain of chamber music and rank as highly as groups such as the Guarneri Quartet. These earlier performances of Schubert are exquisite in their execution and the only defect here is perhaps a slightly reduced sound quality than your typical contemporary performances due to its age. This is barely noticeable however and this CD is really a steal for the price.
