| When it comes to lively, easy to listen music, ABBA does the trick. For anyone who has not yet seen the film or musical "Momma Mia," this includes the best pieces from that musical. ABBA has found a universal formula to share pop music and make it enjoyable and timeless. The collection does, however, lack two or three of their other important hits. |

| When I first bought this CD I knew that I would be pleased, in which I was. Come to think of it, there were quite a few songs that became newly favorites of mine, such as "Honey, Honey", "Angel eyes", "Under Attack", and "Thank you for the music" are very good. I thought ABBA Gold was inspirational, but this CD is impressive.

| I think Abba is so underrated, because their harmonies are so absolutely beautiful. This CD has several songs on it that are worth buying to keep..."The Visitors" is a song that is just fun to hear. But others, like "One of Us" and "Like an Angel Passing thru my Room" are those stop still songs that make you pause and remember. A song that can be sad "Slipping through My Fingers" is so gorgeous and so relatable to anyone seeing their child growing up, and it was just featured in the "Mamma Mia" film. Note the ... | Sure, this is just universal music milking ABBA's catelog for all it's worth, but hey, if you don't have "The Complete Studio Recordings" but wanna check out more of their output, this is a good album. I don't need this since I already have 99% of the tracks, but then again 98% of the tracks contained in this box set are catchy and enjoyable. | "Arrival" is rife with great songs, performances and instrumentation. If you're new to Abba, start with this album. From the concert hall sound of "Dancing Queen" to the instrumental closer "Arrival", this album plays effortlessly through the whole pop spectrum . Benny and Bjorns music will continue to enthrall and entertain new audinces for years to come. For my money they were the Swedish Lennon/McCartney. |

| The only fault with this album is that the notes are almost non-existant. I guess if I had the time I could figure out which songs were from Australia '77 and Wembly 79 and Stockholm '81, but I would have been happy if they did that for me.
The songs are all top shelf performances and just make me wish than in the late 70's I had not devoted so much energy to the punk music and kept my ABBA habit secret. I had all the singles back then but hid them as a guilty pleasure. Since I was more concerned with trends, I blew ... Read More: |
