| I gave this magazine only 3 stars for a few reasons. It does have its good points so I'll start with those first:
- Excellent detail to trends and specifically accessories. A lot of other magazines only give these minimal amount of coverage. - Good coverage as far as fashion show lines and drawing trends from them. But that's as much as I can say. | A year's subscription for under 10 bux! Who can resist? So I signed up...even though I'm about twice as old as the other readers.
The good? The fashion is a good mix between high-street and high fashion. And, definitely, not boring. This is also one of the very few fashion magazines that regularly features fashion illustrations. Quite lovely ones, at that. So, yes...five stars for the eye candy aspect. The bad? | This magazine is a lighter version of Cosmo. But to do the magazine justice there are indeed more in-depth and interesting articles about people and issues compared to the mostly sex and dating tip-filled (and bad tips if I might add) Cosmopolitan Magazine. Overall, I think Glamour magazine is entertaining. I enjoy it. I used to love the more humorous segments with a girl acting out something embarrassingly goofy on the streets and being photographed but it seems like they've been veering away from that. | Why do these magazines sell so well? They have dreamy pop stars on posters, and gossip, passing off as facts. This publication does just that.
They may have one or two feature stories. Music artist are a huge draw, though few things are ever said about them. Instead comes a repeat of their favorites, and dislikes. | I ordered Vogue on Amazon and in less than a month I started receiving the fashion-ey goodness, including a 800 page issue-thing that could seriously do some damage to one's head if hit with it. Excellent mag for those who love fashion and Amazon got it here on the fly. Bravo. |
