| Crochet World is more "crafty" than other crochet magazine and stays with more conservative styles in wearables. Some of the recommended yarns aren't my favorites, but you can always substitute and I sometimes re-imagine them to suit myself. If you like crochet stuffed animals, seasonal decorations, baskets, rugs, doilies, etc. this may be the magazine for you. Not my highest rated crochet magazines since I prefer more wearables and modern patterns, but this magazine has its own special niche. |

| This is my favorite magazine right now. This is the magazine that I always get excited about when it comes in the mail. Decibel is obviously written by people who are big music fans in general, but love extreme metal music. These are the people who can see a lot of music journalists for the wankers they are and that bands like Slayer, Carcass, Jesu, and Converge deserve as much, if not more respect than popular bands like Talking Heads, Nirvana, and Radiohead.

| American Cinematographer can work for you or against you. I started a five year relationship that has recently ended. At the time about to attend film school, I needed all the help I could get to always be one-step ahead of everyone else.

| It seems almost sacriligeous to find fault with the TLS which for many is a kind of book-review Bible. But when compared to other book- review venues including the NY Times Bookreview and the NY Review of Books, I find it somehow chauvinistically British and narrowly focused. I also must admit to not liking the skimpy look of the journal.

| I had a trial subscription to Truckin and really liked all of the articles and how-to pieces in the magazine. But if you get around to cancelling, beware: their subscriptions department conveniently seems to "forget" if you try cancelling and are quick to call in a collection agency. Other than that, I enjoyed the publication very much. |

| I live in California and the cost of this British monthly magazine here is $15.50. That is expensive for me and I'm not nearly at the level of expertise of most of the tutorials in this magazine but I can dream big when I read through it.
