| For the last 8 years or so, I have collected editions of Instyle. I never meant to start collecting it, but it's the kind of magazine I can't throw away because of all the gorgeous photos and quality of this publication. They show the insides of celeb homes (even though they move on a whim and these houses probably have new owners) and fashions and beauty tips etc. It's honestly the only magazine I do buy. | I ordered this for my father, a trivia junkie, and he absolutely loved it. He started giving his copies to my husband, who enjoyed them so much I ordered it for him too. The added benefit is that I get to read them- only after my husband has read them cover to cover. |

| The first subscription was shipped on June. Didnt really have much problems with it but reading some of the articles, I didnt find anything that pertained to my interests.
For this months, I found more interesting topics they were talking about regards to our environment and some DIY projects. I wish they emphasized a bit more on that. Overall, it was ok. |

| Let me start by saying that I love this magazine. The recipes are easy to follow and 99% of the time taste great! I decided to buy a subscription to this magazine to learn how to cook, since I thought it would be better to know how to cook healthy, lowfat foods. Since I started, I have developed lots of skills and I will even try some more difficult items, all because cooking light makes it easy to follow and the recipes turn out great.

| I have been a Ruth Reichl fan since her days at the LA Times (and her three autobiographies are exceptionally written), but I do not understand what she has done with this magazine. My chief complaint is the number of pages of advertising vs. the number of pages of writing and recipes. After finishing an issue, I feel assaulted by multi-page adver-torials from wine companies, cruise ships, and anyone else willing to fork over big $$$ to convince me how environmentally responsible they are.
