Motor Trend is a rather good, well written car magazine for auto enthusiasts. The articles are timely and full of facts and opinions about cars, new hybrids and the like. The quality of the paper is quite good and the print is always easy to read as well.

The cover "story" makes for a big splash but it's not sensationalism: the magazine backs it all up with a beefy article exploring the car, SUV or other vehicle in detail. The articles are peppered with well shot photos that enhance ... Read More:

I have bought Southern Living Magazines for years but there is a irritating trend in all magazine publications and Southern Living is no exception. Most articles are one page, really less. With photos and ads, most are 4 paragraphs or less. Its like the American Public is all ADHA and the publishers think we can't concentrate any longer than that. If I take the time to look at each page of the magazine, then I won't mind spending 5 more minutes reading a little depth to an article that catches my ... Read More:

I bought the subscription for my husband because he wanted it. I thought it would a less sleazy version of Maxium, not to trash Maxium, but come on. Anyways, I was pleasantly surprised because not only did my husband love the magazine, I also ended up reading it and getting health and diet tips. We now have a magazine we can actually have a conversation about.

I have been a subscriber for 3 years. Specifically I have been getting Cosmo/Marie Claire combo subscription for $20. If not for that I don't know if I would read Marie Claire. I prefer Cosmo, but I do like Marie Claire. I like their feature stories & their reviews of best music/books/DVD every month. A good read. It's true that now you can get it for $5 a year. I'm not a big magazine person, but I like this one.

This a great magazine for the younger teens, full of pictures and articles about riders they can relate to. The pull out posters are great! I highly recommend this for younger riders.

I am an older geek (demographically I am probably very OLD compared to the average WIRED reader) who enjoys staying informed about emerging and fast-evolving technology of every type/sort/ilk. Unlike other hard-tech magazines I read, WIRED is unique in that it places a "human" face on technology, no matter how razor-edged it might be. How many tech and/or hard science magazines even pretend to present the "big picture"? Humans are developing tech at a furious rate, and WIRED helps me ponder tech's implications/impact ... I purchased a subscription of this item for my husband and I can't believe how fast it came. I have purchased subscriptions before on other websites and it took 4 months to get. This is not great when trying to give as a gift. I was so pleased the golf digest came in less than a month. I don't golf but my husband loves golf and the golf digest is his favorite out of all the golf magazines. He thinks I'm the coolest wife! Thanks amazon!

Veranda is one of my favorite interior design magazines. Yes, there is quite a bit of advertising. Tho, most of the advertisements are beautifully done and are more like art than adverts.

Anyone could get decorating ideas from Veranda. Many times I have used Veranda to get ideas for garden design, floral design, home furnishing, art, textures and for choosing my home's color palette. If you shop in local antique shops, flea markets or even Ebay you can find similar antiques and art to recreate the designer looks in ... Read More:
