this magazine has much going for it but almost, without fail, falls far short. The articles, mostly, have the merits to be decent read and something you can find informative, unfortunately --either the editors edit out the content or the writers only write fluff-- the articles are filled with nothing of substance. For instance, in an article several years ago about the need to move to nuclear power, the author tries to disprove all other forms of power in one 6 sentence paragraph. Now if that isn't ... I have been subscribing to Time for two years and is totally disappointed with the depth and fairness of their articles. While ignoring USA's own real problems, their articles are pretending to be self righteous and focused on bashing China and other irrelevant contents. I thought I could get better media in USA than I could in China. But in the end, both are just full of the same propaganda, in different ways. And the USA one is more deceptive.

I will not renew the subscription anymore ... Read More:

Let me start off with I subscribe to at least 15 magazines covering a range of subjects. Mental Floss is the only magazine that I save and leave out for guests. The reason I save it is that is a very quick read that can be read while people have a few moments to spare. The articles are short and don't provide much depth. However it is enjoyable to read something that requires no brain power to process. Mental Floss is a great magazine that you can sit down with and read in one sitting. It even occasionaly ... I had been subscribing to EW for about 3 to 4 years. I have just decided not to renew. Here is why and also why you should think about not purchasing EW. About 2 or 3 months ago, EW changed its design. The move was supposed to re-energize what has become ordinary and increase EW's appeal. What actually happened was that EW increased the font of the text and the size of some of the pictures in some sections. EW did not similarly increase the number of pages it dedicated to the same sections, however. Consequently, ... Read More:

The Nation is a great publication that has featured the works of scholarly writers such as Eric Alterman, Barbara Ehrenreich, Noam Chomsky and Norman Mailer. Though the issues addressed and the opinions expressed are often labeled as leftist, this magazine nonetheless contains some very thought-provoking nuances and propositions for a better America that sound intelligent.

Though many are outraged about some of the stances that the editors and contributors of The Nation have taken, their retorts often fall short ... Read More:
