| It is now 9 weeks since I ordered a subscription to THE ECONOMIST through Amazon. I have not yet received my first issue, yet my credit card was charged immediately. Order direct from THE ECONOMIST and you will get your first issue within 2 weeks for the same price, and payment is not due until after you have received your first issue. THE ECONOMIST is a fine magazine. However, beware of their billing department. In my case, they tried to bill twice for the same subscription. |

| My biggest complaint with this magazine is that it doesn't come often enough. While yes, certainly catered to a more scientifically aware, intelligent crowd, SEED by no means approaches the drudgery of a scientific journal. In each issues is even a thick, tear-out "cribsheet" on basic scientific issues or concepts from global warming and photosynthesis to string theory.

| The 5-star reviews are very accurate, but some important issues have been left out, hence my 3-star rating. I have a problem with two things. #1. Unlike the big 4 pattern makers, Burda usually only offers a front drawn image of the piece of clothing. Details are sometimes impossible to see because you only get one side and no detailed written description of the clothing. | I too recently subscribed to BBC History Magazine through Amazon and had no problems. It's a colorful magazine full of interesting and lively articles and stimulating ideas. Indirectly, I also see BBC History Magazine as a kind of travel magazine. There are lots of historical places I want to check out after reading a few issues. Highly recommended! |

| I stumbled upon this Tome a while back and was very taken with it. Not only are the layouts fabulous but the writers add just a touch of humour to the articles. One of the things I have drawn from the issues is their use of color. I have been able to really track my own preferences from the photos and add them to my storyboard inspiration. Further, the articles are fun and informative, I actually READ them through. WOI manages to be incredibly informational as well as fun. I love finding the "Wink Wink" bits scattered throughout. ... I even bought a French dictionary to teach myself how to read French because of this magazine!
