| Well, I'm 5 issues into my subscription, and I have to say that, so far, I'm not very impressed. I really wanted to like this magazine, but I just don't. The photographs contained within its pages are wonderful, breathtaking even. But that's about it. There is usually one article that's semi-helpful, and the rest is just ads, or articles that read like ads, for the latest camera gear or processing software. | Wow. I subscribed to this one and Shutterbug. This one is packed full of tips, techniques and ideas that even a beginner can use. So far I like it a bit better than Shutterbug. But together they make a great arsenal for learning digital photography. I look forward to more issues of PopPhoto. |

| As a practicing photographer and not a collector, I've been very disappointed with B&W on the few occasions it's crossed my desk (I've never had a subscription, so I'm basing this on just the few issues I've seen).
Quality wise, the last issue I received was poorly printed - it contained streaks through the images and rampant misregistration, among other things. | I purchased a gift subscription online last October, 2007, but it is April 2008, and my aunt and uncle have yet to receive their issue.
I called the DPP subscription department in January, and they said they had no record of my order. Funny, since I had a printed confirmation in my files...Anyway, I went through the ordering process (again) over the telephone, and that was supposed to take care of it. While other photography magazines have pages and pages of equipment reviews, this magazine is filled with well-written articles about both well-known and up-and-coming photographers. It includes one section on Photoshop tricks, and the rest on information on the publishing industry, and pertinent news happening in the photography world.
