| I purchased this one month ago. I really like the shape of it and the feeling when I am holding it in hand. The only problem is once the lid is closed it is hard to open it again.

| I thought this magazine would be full of pages about Antiques with pictures, explanations of the items and possible values. I found it had too much advertising, not enough about Antiques/Antiquing for my taste. Others may love this magazine but I didn't. Going to cancel this one. |

| I subscribe to several art magazines and this includes both fine arts & art instruction. I find that the the quartet of Southwest Art, American Art Collector, Art of the West and Southwest Art all complement each other. I have had a subscription to Southwest Art for five plus years and I also give a gift subscription to an artist friend of mind. | In the other reviews nobody has mentioned that ARTnews has done VERY important investigative reporting and even crusading for the restitution of artworks stolen by the Nazis. They have followed other similar lines over a long period of time. I don't think any other magazine has shown such responsibility. They have been trying but have not yet succeeded in covering art of the nation or world as a whole instead of SOOOOOOO much on NYC. | This magazine and its 'sister' publication have become two of those small joys that add to the enjoyment of life. I am not kidding. Considering all the garbage that passes for art it is a pleasure to look at and enjoy this magazine each month. The quality of the publication is first rate and like Western Art Collector the full color spreads are a pleasure. I agree with the reviewer that felt that it was impossible to throw out an issue. I strongly recommend this magazine. |

| The reviews mentioned here seem to be geared towards the electronic version. I have the print version and am very pleased. I ordered from the main site, instead of Amazon, and it did take a few months to receive the first issue but once the issues starting coming, there was no interruption.
The magazine seems to be geared towards artists looking to tranform their hobbies into business ventures, therefore I'd only recommend the magazine for artists new to the business side of things. |
